"बच्चे मन के सच्चे, सारी जग के आँख के तारे, ये वो नन्हे फूल हैं जो, भगवान को लगते प्यारे |" [From Movie: Do Kaliyan (1968)]
"Bachche man ke sachche, Saarii jag ke aankh ke taare, Yeh vo nanhe phuul hain jo, bhagavaan ko lagate pyaare...
Meaning:
"Children are true to the mind, the stars of the eyes of the whole world, These are those little flowers which are dear to God."
It's so important that we protect and shield our kids from any type moral, spiritual, physical, nutritional, intellectual and economical stress and threats which can hamper their holistic well-being.
We as parent give it all so that our kids can enjoy better healthy life. We read so many books of mindful parenting. We read interesting blogs or watch vlogs of people who are creating awareness of #MindfulParenting. But sometimes it just fine to keep the game of life as simple as possible and evolve as our kids grows from milestone to another.
One of the most important part of development of a child is developing habits to healthy nutritious foods. In today world which full of surrogate advertising mechanisms, junk foods and their typical food formats will become a part of our children's fooding habit. You cannot just shun them out. But you can consiously make your children stay away from them and make them realize their ill-effects so that it get's ingrained in their DNA.
If you have kid(s), then you should surely take part in this #IIPLpoll.
Sometimes, it’s not about us, it’s about our kids.
As highlighted earlier, it’s so important to keep them guarded against any type of junk-foods.
We have received 49 votes in this poll and we are trying to figure out what are the perception of people/parents on which type of food has more junkness attached to it.
LinkedIn.com gives us only 4 options. Otherwise, we would have given two more options.
Anways, the most striking part of the result till now is - voters of this poll are not considering 'cane-sugar based chocolates' having high quotient of junkness. Currently, voters thinks that gluten-based pizza has the most junkness quotient than the other listed options.
But what about the below food options? Do they also have the similar junkness?
If a child eats just 70g of such foods in-between their maincourse meals, they are surely going to consume 200+ kcal. Isn't this is way too much for their body organs to process it in a meaningful manner?
But the question is who will/should bell the cat?
Parent/Food Manufacturer/Govt/Food Regulators/Nutritionist/Dieticians/Doctors?
Access to affordable junk foods is the norm today & definitely the main onus lies on the parents of both urban and rural geographies.
